Introduction to Math Education Part 2

Course Description: The course will comprise of three units.

Unit I : Topic areas in elementary mathematics:

Geometry and Measurement, Fractions, Algebra

Unit II: Mathematics Teachers' Development and Classroom Practices:

Readings of Teachers' Education literature and Classroom analysis

Unit III: Curriculum and Assessment:

Textbook analysis with a view towards NCF 2005
